This painting is an expression of artist’s emotional turbulence created using paint that was poured, splattered and applied in an extremely physical fashion to a canvas which lay on the ground, and golden leaves which add a dynamic depth to the painting, changing its perception as the observer moves. Abstract, rhythmic gestures grow out of figural form, eliminating all symbols and signs. Only the gesture itself remains, as a mythic metaphor.
