On November 25, 2021, an exhibition of paintings by the Association “Art krug PM” Požarevac, entitled “Požarevac in the heart of Serbian artists”, was opened in the Gallery of Contemporary Art of the National Museum of Požarevac.

The resulting works created on the theme “Požarevac in the heart of Serbian artists” are different in terms of content and formal-stylistic characteristics, but they are close in effect, which was achieved as a result of precious experiences of creative freedom. A wide range of artistic reflections from figurative to abstract, different schools, genres and artists of different generations with expressed individuality, are the basic features of the resulting artistic creations. The range of topics offered are from direct contact between the artist and the city to the search behind reality and the essence of the hidden. All this resulted in taking over the guiding ideas from the Pozarevac region, which influenced the creation of noteworthy works in the art colony in the form of city architecture motifs, knightly games, hidden gardens and courtyards, fields and monasteries, associations with famous Pozarevac residents and city symbols.

At the exhibition, you can see the works of artists of the older generation, Miodrag Elezović, Dušan Đokić, Rodoljub Karanović, Dušan Mikonjić, Pavle Miladinović, Zdravko Vučinić, middle-aged artists Zorada Todor, Jelena Arsenijević, Slađe Milovanović, Violeta Marković, Nela Stevanović, as well as the younger Minja Pantić, Minje Čvorić, Nemanja Arsića, Katarine Vukašinović, Dijane Andrejić Arsić, Marije Aleksić Čenaković and many others.

You can read more about the exhibition from the media site “SatTv” and “Reč naroda”.
